While the City of Greenville has a public bus system serving a specific area in and around Greenville, those living in the rest of the county do not have a service available to them.

What is the Need?

What is the Need?

In 2006, the West Michigan Regional Planning Commission conducted a local transportation survey. A key finding was that 2/3 (64%) of respondents said that countywide public transportation is a need.

Promote Communities

The Montcalm Ride would grow communities and the local economy by taking people to work, school, local shops, restaurants, health care, and to see family and friends.

Support Population Growth

Montcalm County's population increased by a whopping 28.8% between 1980 and 2000. Most of this growth was in the townships. Transit is needed to support and manage continued growth.

Provide Opportunity

Everyone needs dependable countywide transportation to work, live, play, and learn. Being able to seize opportunities is essential to our personal quality of life and our County's future well-being.
